Tax Assistants

Apprentice Opportunities in Tax

The Roles

The Tax Preparers recruitment scheme is now in its tenth year, with a retention rate of 95% and many of our past graduates are now in senior positions within the Company.

To assist with our ongoing growth we are currently looking to recruit a number of individuals to fill our available roles of Tax Assistants and Client Support Assistants. These are entry-level roles providing exposure to a broad range of areas.

Starting with several weeks of internal training, inductions and team building, as well as continuous updates throughout your career, you will be allocated to a highly experienced team and a mentor, who will help and support you to reach your potential.

Tax Preparers

You will process a variety of UK and US personal and corporate tax returns, developing the skills to calculate liabilities and advise clients on tax payments. Your on-the-job development will be supplemented by studying towards the relevant professional qualifications, starting with the ATT, and further qualifications depending on your area of specialism.

CSAs

Client Support Assistants carry out dual administration and tax roles, working alongside senior members of the tax team to ensure clients receive a high standard of care, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency within the team. Each role is different and develops according to Company needs and your own preferences. As well as on-the-job development, your professional support will be aided by training courses and professional qualifications if relevant.

Requirements

You will be highly numerate and readily able to grasp technical concepts. With an ‘A’ Level (or equivalent) in Maths, a minimum second class degree or relevant work experience, you will be computer literate, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work on your own initiative.

The Company offers a competitive starting salary and an excellent benefits package including a discretionary annual bonus based on individual performance and the success of the firm.

How to Apply

Requirements

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an open day, where they will learn more about the role and the Company, meet other candidates and people currently on the scheme, and participate in a group discussion.

If you are successful you will be invited to a second interview where you will have the opportunity to meet senior members of the management team and have a one to one interview.
