Jemma Baker - ATT, EA

Jemma is an Associate Director in the personal tax area.
Jemma originally trained in this area at Arthur Andersen in London and then joined Deloitte & Touche. Jemma started with the firm in 1998 on a part-time basis whilst she studied for her masters degree at LSE and has never looked back. Jemma’s main experience is providing UK and US personal tax services, both compliance and consultancy, to individuals who mostly have a US connection.

Jemma has a great deal of experience in getting US taxpayers who are non-filers back into the US tax system by filing multiple years of returns. Frequently, this work involves filing US trust and corporate tax returns, dealing with very complex and sensitive family issues and liasing with the Internal Revenue Service with a view to mitigating any penalties. Jemma’s area of expertise is in US expatriation both for US citizens and greencard holders.

Outside the office, Jemma’s main interest is travel. Recent trips have been to Rwanda to see the mountain gorillas and hiking in Chile and Argentina.
