Philip Hawkins - EA

Phil is a Manager within the UK and US personal tax side of the practice.

Phil has years of experience in dealing with and implementing tax equalization policies for companies who send numerous employees on assignment and is adept at communicating the impact of being covered by these policies to the employees.

Phil worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Southampton for 11 years before taking voluntary redundancy, which enabled him to work for himself, sub-contracting US tax return work from PricewaterhouseCoopers in the US for two years. In 2005 Phil joined Ernst & Young as the lure of working in London and a guaranteed salary, tempted him back into employment. Phil jumped at the opportunity to join Frank Hirth as a manager in September 2007 as he wanted to make full use of his technical tax skills.

Away from the office Phil is a big football fan following the fortunes of Liverpool FC whenever he can. Prior to moving to London Phil was a single figure handicap golfer, but the balancing of work and spending time with his three daughters have meant that the trips to the golf course are now very few and far between. Consequently, these days Phil is more likely to be seen rollerblading round a park with his daughters rather than enjoying the delights of the “19th” hole.
