Our audit and accounts department is a small, fast-paced, friendly team who provide services to a wide range of UK companies and LLPs in a variety of industry sectors.
What you can expect:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious person to develop their skills and experience supporting managers and peers on a variety of audit assignments, delivering a quality service to clients. Clients will include financial services firms, software companies, retail companies, travel agents, start-ups and law firms.
You should have a good level of technical competence in UK Financial Reporting Standards, particularly FRS102 and Section 1A. You will need to be confident leading an audit of any sized entity from planning to review. You will be responsible for ensuring work is completed on time, building relationships with clients to become their main point of contact within the firm.

As a senior you will be supported by managers to supervise and train junior staff. You will be expected to be used to delegating throughout an audit, to review work completed by junior staff and to provide feedback.
You will need to demonstrate commercial awareness and ensure quality, by summarising actual time spent compared to budget on each assignment and by performing the firm’s review and completion procedures before passing the file for manager or partner review. You will need to report any problems or contentious issues to your manager immediately, as well as proposing possible solutions.
You will need to develop and maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through reading and courses and ensure you meet your CPD requirements.
