How We Are Different

Frank Hirth has grown exponentially in size and reputation since it was established in 1975.  Forty years on, we are a diverse workforce of 220 with common goals and aspirations.  We have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to be the best at what we do, while building lasting relationships with our clients based on trust and exceptional service.

We have some of the best talent in our industry which is nurtured by excellent technical training and a supportive and collaborative environment. 

In 2015, we achieved a milestone of being listed in the top 30 accountancy firms in the Accountancy Age top 50, having climbed eight places since 2010. Our Chairman Paul Hocking, and Director Iain Younger, were both included in the ‘Spear’s 500’ this year, Europe’s guide to the top wealth managers, lawyers and advisers for high net worth individuals. Other colleagues have also been recognised in the 2015 ‘eprivateclient’s top 35 under 35’ and the 2016 ‘Citywealth Power Women Awards’.

Our ethos continues to be that our people are our most valuable asset. We believe in developing lasting relationships not only with our clients but with staff as well. That means creating a work environment that is conducive to professional development and also one that is friendly and secure. People are encouraged to think creatively and innovatively to improve systems and processes and therefore increase efficiency. We welcome input and feedback from everyone both informally, through a specific task force or through staff surveys.

We understand that with respect to their careers, people are motivated by professional development and progression, so we invest heavily in training towards recognised qualifications and other in-house training for our tax, accounting and practice support professionals. We have a dedicated Learning and Development department whose sole purpose is to work with you to help you achieve your educational and personal goals.

We also believe that to achieve your best, support is critical and we have a very open culture where advice, feedback and support are actively given.  We also offer a suite of personal support programmes during your career here from buddy schemes, flexible working arrangements and enhanced maternity packages to meet your individual work/life balance needs. It is therefore no coincidence that nearly half the staff at Frank Hirth have been with us for five years or more.
