Having joined Frank Hirth in 2006 and 2007 respectively, Glenn and Matthew have made excellent progression developing expertise in advising high net worth and high-profile clients with both US and UK tax reporting requirements.
Glenn has extensive knowledge of both UK and US tax reporting and compliance regulations and is an expert in US expatriation for both US citizens and Green Card holders, assisting taxpayers with the necessary planning and tax filings to complete their expatriations. Glenn oversees a broad spectrum of staff from tax preparers through to managers and has been involved with our internal training programs and processes. He sits on our management committee and his drive and enthusiasm has helped provide renewed impetus to the company’s growth agenda.
Matthew’s specialist focus lies in the issues affecting Privately Owned Businesses, including the US Controlled Foreign Corporation (CFC) and Passive Foreign Investment Company (PFIC) rules affecting US citizens investing overseas. He is responsible for managing a team of private client practitioners within this space, providing complex consultancy and compliance services to international individuals with inter-related personal and business tax issues. This is one of the fastest growing sectors within our service offering, and Matthew is an integral part of its growth and development. More recently, Matthew has turned his attention to the complex tax planning issues for high profile individuals such as sporting legends, and entertainers and he is rapidly establishing himself as a future leader within this field.
Their professional accolades consist of listing in eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35 – 2016 and 2017 for Glenn and 2017 for Matthew.
The end of the financial year also sees Ross Annand, James Arrowsmith, Daniel Crouch, Emily Walton, Helen French, Kavit Nathwani and John Sneddon promoted to Senior Manager.
